Expressing the Hindu concept of the relationship between nature and humankind, it was laid out along an axis from the mountain peak to the riverbanks in a geometric network of temples, shrines, and hydraulic works stretching for some 10 kilometers. The site also includes two ancient cities, built on the banks of the Mekong and Phou Kao mountain, representing a development process spanning over a thousand years, from the 5th to the 15th centuries, primarily associated with the Khmer Empire. After exploring the site, you will visit its museum. Check into your room and enjoy some free time. Take in the sunset over the river – a truly unique moment to enjoy with an aperitif!
